Chase Choir supports as many village events as it can. For the past three years, we have had a full programme.  Regular slots include performances at Whaddon CE First School's school's yearly May Fayre,  the blessing of Karen's wedding, a World War One memorial service where we led the congregation in singing many of the songs popular from that time, the Nine Lessons and Carols service in St Mary's Church; and our own Christmas and Summer concerts too.

In 2015 we, competed in the Milton Keynes Music Festival, as well as holding our summer concert in the village hall,  sang at the May Fayre, made a guest appearance at Thornton Church, and performed our own Summer Concert.  In addition, we were booked to sing at the switching on of the Christmas lights in Bletchley, and held a Christmas Concert.  Our charity event that year involved us singing in Marks and Spencer in Centre:MK, where we raised money for Willen Hospice.

2016 was busy too: we were placed second in the MK Music Festival's choir section, performed again at the May Fayre, which is now a regular yearly feature of our fixtures diary, as is a summer service in Thornborough Church.  We were also especially honoured to be asked to perform at a unique ceremony to commemorate the role played by Whaddon in the Second World War, when it was the hub for secret messages relayed to and from France.  The Chase Choir performed a French Resistance song during a special presentation, which linked two former secret agents, one English and one French.  You can see the whole story, as reported by the BBC World Service here:   Our Summer Concert in July was a blast!  Our audience agreed that the Rodgers and Hammerstein medleys and solos from Les Miserables were a triumph. There were some great solo performances from our home-grown talented group too. and we raised money for the charity Emily's Star.  We also sang carols around Centre:MK during the Christmas period in John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.  Our Christmas concert played to a packed village hall, and from this, and our carol singing, we raised over £1000 for two charities: Parkinson's UK and Supershoes.  This has been our best fundraising effort so far: we're very happy about that!

In 2017, we are once again flexing our choral muscles in the the MK Festival, alongside other choirs on 24 March.  This year, we will also be singing at the Northampton Music Festival on 21 May, and our year ends with a wonderful Summer Concert on 16 July, in our village hall.  Our charities for this concert will be Motor Neurone Disease and Medical Detection Dogs.

Christmas 2017 has seen our busiest ever year!  We have sung at Woburn Abbey at a Christmas Fair, at Marks and Spencer in MK City Centre, held our own Christmas concert, participated in our village church, St Mary's at the 9 Lessons and Carols service, boosted the festive spirit at our local pub, The Lowndes Arms, and sang carols to revitalise weary commuters a MK Central Station.  We've been raising money for Willen Hospice and Thames Valley Air Ambulance at these events.   We're now giving our vocal chords a well-earned break and we're excited to see what 2018 has in store.  Watch this space!

We also love to travel to other venues, and have sung at a Masonic dinner, a double wedding and a local residential home for elderly people.
